I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life. I love this church because of how organized it is. Wherever you go in the world, it is the same. I was in South Carolina and my parents told me what they were learning here in Yuma, AZ and I was learning the same thing. It is the same no matter where you go. I also love that it is family oriented. Whether a newborn, toddler, married couple, single, widowed, etc. They accept you no matter who you are. You could even been someone with stripes, polka dots, purple, green, etc. They won't judge you and they will gladly welcome you with open arms.

Unique lay-member approach makes for pretty dynamic meetings. The pastor ("bishop") is an unpaid volunteer from the congregation who serves for about 5 years, and is then replaced by another local parishioner. And even with that leadership, the pastor doesn't even preach most Sundays. Rather, two or three adult members of the congregation are asked to prepare speeches for each Sunday service, usually with a teenage speaker thrown in the mix. So you're hearing from different speakers every week, and you get to know attendees as a result, and hear their unique experiences and life lessons. Attendees are also not asked or expected to donate money, do choral/responsive reading, etc.; you just sit back and enjoy the meeting.
It can sometimes be hard to find out the meeting times, which are not clearly posted outside the building or in the lobby, but you can virtually guarantee that they'll be starting at 9:00 am, any Sunday of the year. No one's going to care what you wear, although you'll want to dress modestly.Added November 21, 2016 by A Google User - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
If there is one church I suggest going to, it's this one. You won't find a place where others are trying their hardest to become more like Jesus Christ. There is something different about this church, but everything about it feels so right. Thanks for letting me come! I love how it's meant for everyone!
